Jim Wunderlich
Jim is the owner and primary composer/arranger at Wunderpit Music. He is a member of the WGI Hall of Fame, and a founding member of the Southern California Percussion Alliance.
Jim has a sweeping history in the indoor percussion arena, highlighted by front ensemble music coordination & arrangements for the PIW powerhouse RCC (2004-2020), as well as the trailblazing PSW ensemble at Mission Viejo HS (1990-2012).
During summer field season, Jim is the Music Coordinator & Brass Arranger for the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps. He served as the Front Ensemble Caption Head and arranger for the Blue Devils from 2006-2017, helping earn 7 DCI Championships and 4 Fred Sanford High Percussion awards during his tenure. Jim has traveled to Tokyo since 2007, providing front ensemble arrangements & instruction for the reigning JMBA champion Soka Renaissance Vanguard. Jim marched tenors in the Suncoast Sound Drum & Bugle Corps in 1989.
In the fall, Jim combines all of the musical elements, from winds to full percussion & sound design, for several programs across the country. Current BOA finalist bands & regional champions include Broken Arrow (OK) and William Mason (OH).
